New: Advertisements!

Filed under: Admin, Promotional — Written by Joe Infurnari on Tuesday, April 1st, 2008 @ 2:09 am

Oh boy! Just what everybody wants to see more of, eh? Ads! Yup, that’s right, the Process now has ad space available for bidding through Project Wonderful! Project Wonderful is this great idea where anyone wanting to shed some light on their own little corner of the internet can purchase inexpensive advertising by bidding on available space. If you look to the right, in the sidebar, you’ll notice a fresh new graphic and under it you’ll read something like,”Ads by Project Wonderful! Your ad here, right now: $0.02″. And that is exactly all that it costs for you to start advertising! Isn’t that amazing!? Got a hip blog, flickr gallery or even a burgeoning webcomic of your own? I have banner space available on the page browsers for chapter 1 and 2 as well as what you see here on the blog. The chapter banners are larger and your ad will appear whenever somebody looks at any of the pages (hint: this is where the real traffic is at) making this space the most economical. No matter where you choose to post an ad, they are a perfect opportunity to increase your exposure by hitching a ride on my (ahem) immense digital following! God help you if you need to do that (my following is not so immense after all) but far be it from me to turn away your money! Two cents is two cents! Thanks for your support, folks, and have fun bidding!

Not interested in purchasing advertising? Well that’s just fine, too. You can do your part by simply clicking on any of the ads. Thanks!

Announcement: the Process Poll!

Filed under: Admin, Merchandise, Promotional — Written by Joe Infurnari on Wednesday, March 12th, 2008 @ 12:18 pm

Below you will find the first ever the Process poll! I’ve been thinking that I would hold a draw for email subscribers and I wanted to find out what people would like the most as a prize. The following poll has six options for prizes. ANYONE CAN VOTE! Choose the prize(s) you would most like to see offered and click ‘vote’. Please participate, people! This will help me out in two ways. It will tell me what you, the reader, values most and it helps me prepare a drawing that offers the most wanted prize! This poll will be up until I feel I have a healthy number of votes from which I can truly draw a consensus. So c’mon people now, smile on your brother (me), everybody get together, try to love one another, VOTE NOW!
Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

UPDATE: The final hours! Only a few short hours remain before we’ll have our prize decided. It looks like the original art has a commanding lead but anything’s possible on this here internets. Stay tuned for the official announcement.

New Blog Feature: Galleries!

Filed under: Admin — Written by Joe Infurnari on Wednesday, February 27th, 2008 @ 10:20 am

31.jpgYes, another dull post about new features on this blog. I’m always tweaking things and recently I added a slideshow to the sidebar. There it is, yup you got it. What it does is go through all the pages in sequence stopping at the latest page. You can also click the images to skip to the next page, too. I thought it would be a nice way to class things up and a chance to show how the pages flow one into another.

A bigger deal is the addition of galleries to this blog. This allows me to have whole chapters available as galleries of clickable thumbnails. Galleries for Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 are now available from the Table of Contents page above. Now, using the blog to see all the art relating to a chapter is easier than sifting through all the posts in the respective category. Clicking any of the thumbs in a gallery will open a popup window with the full size image as well as links to navigate throughout the chapter. As an example of this, you can click the thumbnail in this post. Galleries can also be experienced as a slideshow as well. Lastly, these galleries also afford readers the opportunity to comment on whole chapters instead of just individual posts. Yet another way YOU can participate in this webcomic. Please make use of this feature…be a part of the Process!

Stay tuned to this site, I’ll have a new page up before the end of the week. Thanks for reading!

Pull up a chair, stay a while!

Filed under: Admin, The Process, Unused Art — Written by Joe Infurnari on Saturday, February 23rd, 2008 @ 3:03 pm

Despite my worsening pinched nerve saga I have been able to do a few things towards getting the next page done. One of them is this theater seat. It’s made entirely of cardboard with a wooden dowel that allows the seat bottom to fold up. Without an official ETA on the next page, all I can offer you patient readers is to have a seat and take heart that I am doing the best I can.

This may be a long drawn out affair with the potential for surgery, physical therapy et al so I would again advise you to sign up for email subscriptions. That way you can always stay on top of things as they happen. If you do click the little envelope above and put in your email address, be sure to check your spam filter in case the confirmation email got snagged.

In the meantime, enjoy this little tidbit and stay tuned as I will be updating this blog with my progress with my health and with this webcomic. Thanks for your patience…

A P Furtado

Filed under: Admin, Promotional — Written by Joe Infurnari on Sunday, February 17th, 2008 @ 7:10 pm

I happen to be doing a little scanning of my traffic when I came upon a forum page from Webcomics.com, with this little gem on it. A P Furtado, a comics creator whose work can be found at Underground Pop had this to say about the Process:

Whenever I begin doubting why I’ve chosen comics to express myself; I turn to a handful of comics and sadly, less than a handful of webcomics, to pull myself out of the dumps. [The Process] is one of them.

Thanks, A P Furtado. I warms my heart that this project has been inspirational to you. Perhaps that’s the highest praise I canreceive. The things that inspire me to work and help motivate me to keep on struggling are the most dear to me and if the Process helps do that for you, I am so glad. So c’mon everybody head on over to Underground Pop and show your support for a comics veteran, A P Furtado!
