Page 28 Sketch Sold, Page 23 Still Available

Filed under: Merchandise, Promotional, Unused Art — Written by Joe Infurnari on Thursday, January 24th, 2008 @ 8:23 pm

A kind and generous soul with a keen eye has snatched up the sketch for page 28. Thank you! If you were considering it and didn’t get your donation in time, don’t let that stop you! I’m more than happy to do an ink sketch just for you. As I’ve already said, times are tough so take advantage of me when I’m offering myself up cheap!
The original version of page 23 is still available. This is a finished drawing complete with all the bells and whistles. I’ll not be selling finished drawings like this anytime soon. When the pages from this book do become available, I promise they will not go this cheap. A donation of only $85 and you can make a home for this fine piece of art.

Art Sale!

Filed under: Merchandise, Promotional, Unused Art — Written by Joe Infurnari on Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008 @ 9:26 pm

In the interest of generating some desperately needed funds, I’m making the unused page 23 available for sale. The first person who donates $85 or more through Paypal will be the proud new owner of this little gem. This page is ink, colored pencil and watercolor on Arches watercolor paper and is 12″x16″. Please be generous as the need is dire. Shipping expenses will be included in the donation. Here’s the piece.

I still have this drawing for page 28 available as well. The first person to donate over $35 through paypal will get this drawing with all shipping and handling included. The drawing measures 12″x16″ and is ink and graphite on Arches watercolor paper. Please find it within yourself to spend a little money on a valuable work of art to help support this project. Thanks for your consideration.

It’s safe to say that I am a perfectionist. This post will make apparent the extent of my affliction. When I posted the final page 28, I promised to post these preliminary images and I described them as ’surprising’. What will be probably most surprising about them is how close they are to the final. Folks who have seen these and the final page together just shake their heads and often can’t pick out the differences. See if you can spot where I went ‘wrong’.28a1.jpg28b1.jpg

Since this second image is so near completion, I’m going to offer it up to the first person who makes a donation of over $35 using the link to the right. Normally any donation of over $25 gets a black and white drawing such as this but this one is bigger and therefore more expensive to ship. If more than one person donates, non winning donations will get a regular black and white sketch. Even at the higher rate, I promise these sketches pass my rigorous perfectionist criteria and are sure to please!

In other news, some new links have been posted to the links page. They include a link to ComicSpot, Sinus Camera, Pixel Rain, and a wonderful new webcomic, Desert Story, by Klos. These fine sites have already linked to me so when you’re done here, please visit them and show your support. Thanks, everyone!

October Review

Filed under: Admin, Merchandise, Press, Promotional — Written by Joe Infurnari on Monday, November 5th, 2007 @ 11:27 pm

I just wanted to give a big thanks to all of the new visitors to this site. October was an excellent month with page loads and unique visitor numbers reaching new heights. A lot of this is due to the week long step by step for page 26 that was covered on a number of great sites. Here’s a cap of October’s stats:octstats.gif

Of course, these numbers are nowhere near the levels of other webcomics, but I’m thrilled and I appreciate the support that this site has gotten all over the internet. In the interest of expanding this project even further, I’ve added to the blog a few new features. At the end of every post from now on, you’ll find a series of small icons. Here they are:

My MyspaceTechnorati links to the ProcessJoin me at ComicSpaceSupport 'the Process' at OnlineComics.net!Vote for the Process on Top Web Comics.com!Click to Purchase the Process Tees from Bountee.com!the Process on DrunkDuck.com!Stumble it!Add to Delicious!

I would encourage you to use these to enhance your experience. I have links to my Myspace page, Technorati, my Comicspace profile, Online Comics, Top Webcomics.com, my Bountee.com T-shirt designs, Drunk Duck, Stumble Upon and Del.icio.us. Some of them may require a little bit more info:Technorati links to the Process –The Technorati icon. Clicking this will take you to the Process blog page on Technorati.com. There you will see recent posts as well as find new sites that have linked to this blog
Support 'the Process' at OnlineComics.net! –This is the Online Comics favorite star and clicking this will offer you an opportunity to add the Process to your favorites or leave some feedback.
Vote for the Process on Top Web Comics.com! –Top Webcomics.com. Click this icon to vote for the Process on TopWebcomics.com. Your votes will enhance the ranking of this comic on their site. I would love it if everybody who visits this site would click this at least once!
Click to Purchase the Process Tees from Bountee.com! –This is a commerce related link. It will take you to Bountee.com where you can browse and purchase any of the Process related T-shirt designs. Sales of merchandise don’t contribute a lot of money but they sure do enhance morale! Please consider purchasing a T-shirt.
the Process on DrunkDuck.com! –Drunk Duck is a great site that hosts a ton of webcomics. All of the pages are mirrored on that site so if you prefer to read your webcomics through Drunk Duck, this is the icon for you. Simply click and you’ll be taken to the Process at Drunk Duck.com.
Stumble it! –This is another great site for networking your favorite websites. Stumbled Upon.com is a great way for you to share and find new and exciting web content. Click this to add the Process to your Stumble Upon profile. If you don’t already have an account, I encourage you to try it. It’s a great way to get the most interesting sites from people with similar interests. When you have your own profile, don’t forget to click this icon to help spread the word!
Add to Delicious! –This icon is for Del.icio.us. It’s a site that allows you to have all of your bookmarks available on the internet so you can always look at your favorite sites when not surfing at your own computer. Clicking this will allow you to add the Process to your Del.ico.us profile. Registering is easy (it took me 30 seconds) and well worth it!

Lastly, I’d like to point out that these links are now available in the sidebar as well as a Digg.com button. Clicking the little grey guy with a shovel will show your support for this site by adding a ‘vote’ for the Process. This button is for Digg members but registration is very easy and the site is a wonderful way to get the most out of the internet. Like Del.icio.us, it’s a great way to see what people are linking to on the internet. Please click this link! Thanks for stopping by and please be patient as I prepare page 28. I’m really excited about it and I assure you it will be well worth the wait!

Page 26 Step 7: In Closing…

Filed under: Merchandise, Press, Promotional, The Process, Unused Art — Written by Joe Infurnari on Monday, October 15th, 2007 @ 2:19 pm

So there it is! And now I have to get back to work and start on page 27!

I want to thank everybody who stopped by to read about this project. Your support is what keeps me going. A lot of you that came by probably were new to seeing this webcomic and for that I need to thank the following fine websites for their linking to this blog.

JK Parkin at Blog@Newsarama had this wonderful post:

Blog@Newsarama Post

Tom Spurgeon at Comicsreporter.com posted this notice:

Comics Reporter

And John Martz at Drawn.ca was kind enough to post this:

Drawn.ca

Now there’s only a couple more pieces of business left to attend to. First off, if there was something that you found interesting, insightful or irritating, please let me know. I doubled my overall traffic for this site in just this week and that means a lot of visitors stopped by and only one of you posted a comment. I get such a buzz out of hearing what people think that I am going to once again ask that visitors please drop me a line. It doesn’t have to be much. A little goes a long way with me.

Secondly, I would just like to solicit visitors to consider purchasing a T-shirt from Bountee. com or making a donation to me through paypal using the link on the sidebar. Two of my designs are currently the most wanted designs there are so get on over there and check ‘em out! Even here, a little goes a long way with me. I get a very small sum of money from each T-shirt sold but it’s always a thrill for me when I do. If you would be interested in a piece of original art, please consider making a donation of $25 or more for an ink sketch or $50 or more for a full color drawing! I promise you won’t be disappointed whether you purchase a T-shirt or make a donation and receive a piece of original art. Satisfaction guaranteed!

Enough of the hard sell! Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to having you visit again in the weeks to come as I bring Chapter 2 to a close and usher in an entirely new experience for Chapter 3! Thank you!
Joe
