Readers expecting a new page 30 might be a little disappointed to see that 30 is what used to be good ‘ole 29! That’s because there’s a new page snuck in there. I never felt 100% comfortable with the transition between page 28 and old 29. It seemed a little too abrupt with some sort of buffer needed before the photographic elements of page 30. This page heightens the disorientation, closes the ourobouros introduced in 28, furthers the cloud motif and introduces the spiral motif found in page 30. Another consideration is that when this becomes a book (cross yer fingers) page 28 and the new page 29 will be a spread and page 30 will be revealed by turning the page. It’s a little more dramatic that way. So without further ado, here’s the new page 29!

While away in Canada, I had the opportunity to do a little housecleaning on the Process. Page 23 had always bothered me after I finished a couple of the pages after it. It just didn’t seem to fit with the later pages so I updated it to be more on model. Here’s the older version:

Just a quick note that page 25 was revised today. Nothing drastic. In the balloon where the boy is holding the broken skrit shell, I switched it so that he is holding it in his left hand. Why, you ask? Well, for those that may be a little lost in this whole thing, I am trying to use the thought balloons to stand in for action taking place in ‘reality’. So for the balloon in question, the boy picking up the skrit shell stands in for me picking up the blood monitor. To strengthen this association, I thought it best that the boy use the same hand as I do to hold the monitor in the next panel. This way, the boys left hand holding the shell rhymes visually with my left hand holding the monitor.

Just a quick notice that page 21 has been revised. You’ll notice that I added the boy’s hand to the bottom to tie in with the action of page 22 and beyond.
